The Volkswagen Golf is not only a cute little car that's capable and affordable, it's also the recent recipient of the 10 Best Cars award. Under the hood, you'll find a 170-hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine that's more than enough power for this tiny wonder, and the wide hatchback allows you to carry just about anything your chores require. It's practical meets fun.

What's New for 2018?

The Golf's changes are relatively minor for 2018. Volkswagen has renamed the 2017 Wolfsburg trim as the SE. LED taillights, daytime running lights, and rain-sensing windshield wipers are all now standard. The chrome-trimmed grille and redesigned sport bumpers dress up the front-end a bit. The infotainment screens are larger; a 6.5-inch touchscreen display is now standard in the S trim, and an 8.0-inch screen is standard in the SE model.
